US IndieFEST to host ‘Cradle of Silence’

Iranian short ‘Cradle of Silence’ heads to IndieFEST in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Cradle of Silence’ is set to compete at the 11th IndieFEST Film Awards in the US.

Written and directed by Mostafa Mehraban, the film depicts the story of a man named Rasoul, on a mission to deliver one of his martyred friend’s possessions to his widow.

After his return from the warzone, Rasoul has to quickly head back, but his wife decides to go along with him.

Rasoul uses his friend’s belonging as an excuse not to accommodate his wife’s request.

Mehraban’s short film has appeared in various international film festivals including the 2019 Montauk Film Festival and the 5th Reading Film Festival in the US, as well as the 5th BangkokThai International Film Festival in Thailand.

In its 11th year, the IndieFEST Film Awards is an independent film festival which has hosted films from nearly 80 countries from around the world.

Held in La Jolla, California, the festival will begin February 4, 2020.
